Recently, some of my friends and family have been asking me why I haven’t written a blog post in a while. This is the reason..
I have been working on a new venture, along with my partner, writer/editor Mimi Golub.
We are creating a new online lifestyle magazine called Living the Second Act. It is geared toward women whose lives are changing as they are getting into their 40’s and 50’s. To some extent, most of ours are. We would like to reach those of you who are no longer reading articles about breastfeeding and starting kindergarten, but who are also nowhere near ready for a rocking chair and the “early bird”.
Whether it be a divorce, kids going off to college, starting a new career, or even just changing up your look, if you are moving forward towards any kind of a “second act”, our site will have something for you. We plan to be informative, helpful, serious at times, sometimes funny, and most importantly, real.
I am super excited about this, and about Mimi. We are two women who have never actually met in person, but who somehow found each other. We both knew that there was a space for a magazine like this, and we wanted to be the ones who created it.
We are launching next week – and I cannot wait!
In the meantime, we have been putting together an amazing group of writers who are excited about contributing to Living the Second Act. I am looking forward to having everyone read all of our work.
If you are a writer (or if you know one) who would like to join us on our journey, we would love to hear from you. Please message me on my contact page here and I will give you the details on how to submit.
Regarding The Widow Wears Pink, this is my first baby and it is not going anywhere. I will be taking it back to its roots and will keep my essays here only about my “widow life”. All other topics will now be written on Living the Second Act.
We are looking forward to share our “second act” with you and hope you will join us on the ride. We are hoping for a fun adventure!!
