Author Lauren Weiss

Lauren Weiss is a writer & college essay advisor based in Marblehead, MA. She has written about food allergies, young widowhood, food & lifestyle for nearly 20 years. She has been a regular columnist / blogger at the Food Allergy Website, TAPInto, Jersey Bites, Westfield Foodie and Young Widow - Chapter Two. Her work has also appeared in Redbook, Woman's Day, NPR, MSNBC, The New York Observer, The Star-Ledger and The Baltimore Sun.  Lauren has contributed to three cookbooks - she co-wrote a chapter with original recipes for CJP: From Our Kitchens, tested recipes for Kitchen Workshop: Pizza by Ruth Gresser and assisted with Trader Joe's Lighten Up Cookbook by Susan Greeley. Lauren's professional work experience includes VP of Marketing & Corporate Events at Bear Stearns, PR Director at the JCC of Central NJ, VP of Business Development at Impact Productions and Special Events Manager at NYU.  and Lauren graduated with a BA in psychology from the University of Michigan and an MSW from Rutgers. Originally a Jersey Girl, she recently moved to the North Shore of Boston with her husband, two daughters and a floppy cavechon.
