About Stacy

Stacy is Co-Founder and Co-Editor of Living The Second Act, a passion project she recently began with a fellow writer Mimi Golub.

Stacy was a stay-at-home mom/part-time preschool teacher whose life was turned upside down in 2011 when her husband tragically passed away. After a few very difficult years, she started The Widow Wears Pink, a blog about her widow life. She found her passion in writing, and began to broaden her subject matter outside of widowhood.

Stacy has been published in Huffington Post, Scary Mommy, Her View From Home, Better After 50, Mamalode, Modern Loss, Grown & Flown, Sammiches & Psychmeds, Option B, Kveller, and Thought Catalog. She is a contributor on Hope for Widows Foundation and freelances for Today.com. She is currently working on both her memoir and a fiction novel.

Stacy is the co-founder and chair of Hearts for Howie, a charity named for her husband that she created with her two daughters. They raise money to support the cardiac unit of their local hospital.

Her most important and fulfilling job is being mom to her two girls, who are growing up faster than she would like.
